Every June, the coffee world picks a city and shows up in force. This year it was Brussels - three days at Brussels Expo, a heatwave nobody planned for, and thousands of people who care a little too much about a bean.
Attesa Coffee found its own corner in all of it, which felt right - every trade show sets one aside for green coffee suppliers like us, working the part of the coffee chain that happens long before a cup ever gets poured.
Attesa Coffee Booth at WOC 2026We've always described ourselves simply: your green coffee partner. Ethically sourced, fully traceable green coffee from fifteen origins-specialty coffee lots that cuppers fight over, and dependable commercial coffee volumes that keep roasteries running week after week-connecting farmers and roasters who might otherwise never cross paths. In practice, green coffee sourcing means long flights, longer group chats, and showing up in person whenever we can, because green coffee, underneath the logistics, is still a relationship business first.
That showed up most clearly in the four people who gave Attesa a face on the floor, each in their own way. Tomek (Tomasz Woronowicz), our Business Development Manager, has a way of making a passing "hello" turn into something real. One roaster stopped by having come across Attesa Coffee before, wanting to finally match the name to the people and the story behind it - an hour later, they were still talking. They were still talking about origins, harvest calendars, and what traceable green coffee actually looks like at farm level.
Team Members (Lanisha & Tomek) - Meeting new faces, strengthening lasting relationships. Most conversations end at the trade show floor. A few turn into a green coffee sample shipped, a call scheduled, something still going a year from now. Lanisha Arul Gruz, our Business Development Executive, introduced herself to a stranger for the tenth time that day, meaning it every time - one conversation about single-origin specialty coffee, the next about steady commercial coffee supply, each one mattering equally. Team Members (Tim & Arsenii) -Bringing Quality & Connection Together.Tim Phi, our Green Coffee Quality Manager, gravitated to the cupping rooms, where green coffee speaks for itself. Arsenii, our Business Development Intern, got his first real look at the industry outside a spreadsheet - loud, warm, chaotic, full of roasters, producers, and green coffee traders happy to talk about their work.Nishit Tanna (Founder) - Fostering RelationshipsAnd then there was Nishit Tanna, our founder, who spent most of three days doing what he's always done best: making sense of the room in real time , remembering names, and picking up conversations that had never really paused, no matter which city they'd last happened in. Watching him do it is a good reminder of what green coffee business runs on - not the booth, not the branding, but the memory of a shared cup and the will to keep a conversation going long after the show lights go off. That's the part of the job we never tire of. Not the show floor itself, but everything it makes possible afterward - a green coffee sample sent, a call scheduled, a friendship that started over lukewarm coffee in a too-hot exhibition hall.A Hands-On Coffee Cupping Experience. We didn't leave World of Coffee with bold predictions about where specialty coffee is headed, or where commercial coffee markets will land next quarter. We left with names, half-finished conversations, and a handful of people we're already impatient to hear from again. That's still how this coffee industry moves forward - one cup, one handshake at a time.Nishit Tanna (Founder) - Connecting through Coffee. We came home from Brussels already thinking about next year. Not with a plan yet, more of a quiet hope - that the conversations we started keep going a little longer this time, that the relationships we're building keep growing as we do, and that next year Attesa Coffee a little further along, and still, at the core, ourselves.
Somewhere between the heat and the cupping rooms, it settled in: this is our community too. Next June, World of Coffee moves to Lisbon. Part of Attesa Coffee is already there - looking forward to being back among our people, picking up conversations with roasters and green coffee friends that never really paused since Brussels.
The Attesa Coffee TeamIn the meantime, the door stays open year-round, show lights or no show lights. Whether you're a specialty coffee roaster chasing a rare lot from a single origin, a roastery sourcing consistent commercial coffee volumes, or somewhere in between - we're here for a sourcing question, a green coffee sample request, or simply the conversation itself.
