Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about us and our coffees, pre-orders, shipments, sourcing, samples and partnerships.

We work directly with trusted producer partners at origin. We choose farms and washing stations that focus on quality and care for their land and communities. You can explore each origin on our website to learn about its harvest seasons, processing types and the people behind the coffee.

You can request samples directly by email at hello@attesa.co or register on our website and place the order yourself.

Browse our available green coffees and contact the Attesa Coffee team by email hello@attesa.co to enquire about availability and current pricing. Please include the coffee(s) you are interested in and the required quantity.

We will confirm the availability, price and delivery options with you. Once you confirm the order or reservation, we will provide an order confirmation and invoice and arrange the next steps for delivery.

For pre-order coffees, we will also confirm the available lot, expected delivery timeframe and applicable terms before the order is finalized.

Most of our specialty lots are traceable to a single farm or washing station. For these, we share the producer, farm or washing station, region, variety, processing method and harvest details. Some coffees, such as regional blends or lots from smallholder cooperatives, are traceable to the cooperative, washing station or region rather than one farm. Each coffee page shows exactly how far its traceability goes. If you'd like to learn more about a lot, we're happy to connect you with the producers behind it.

All our current coffees are listed on our offer list, with their cupping score, sensory profile and availability. You can also browse coffees by country on each origin page. For the full story behind a lot, get in touch with our team. We can share the producer and farm background, altitude, variety, processing details and harvest information, and the social and environmental initiatives at origin where available. To hear about new coffees and origin stories as they arrive, join our newsletter.

Quality starts with who we work with. We partner with producers who share our standards, and we follow each lot from harvest to your roastery:

  • At origin: Pre-shipment samples are cupped and checked for physical quality, including moisture, defects and bean size, before any coffee is approved for export.
  • On arrival: Each lot, shipped in protective liners to preserve freshness, is cupped again to confirm it matches the pre-shipment sample.
  • In storage: Coffees are kept in partner warehouses across Europe and monitored until they're delivered to you.

We share our findings with producers, so each harvest helps us improve the next.

Green coffee is a living product, and its flavour can shift slightly between origin, arrival and storage. We cup at different stages and update our descriptions to keep them accurate. Where relevant, we note which sample (pre-shipment or arrival) the notes are based on.

It means taking responsibility for every link between the farm and your roastery:

  • Long-term partnerships: We build lasting relationships with producers, giving them stability to plan and invest in quality.
  • Environmental care: We look for producers who protect their land, for example by planting trees, using low-water processing, working towards zero waste or using natural fertilisers.
  • Social welfare: We take time to understand working conditions and community practices at each farm and origin.
  • Transparency: We share what we know about each coffee and its journey, so you and your customers can make informed choices.

Absolutely. We share detailed information about each producer, farm and process, and we encourage roasters to pass it on. If you're looking for images or extra material for a specific lot, ask us and we'll check what we can provide with the producer's permission.

You can order from a single bag. Many roasters combine several bags into one delivery to keep freight costs per kilo lower.

Each of our coffees is usually stored in one specific warehouse, not across all of them. Our partner warehouses are in the Netherlands, Belgium and Poland, and the location of each lot is clearly mentioned in our offerlist. Tell us which coffee you're interested in and we'll confirm where it's held and how quickly we can deliver it to you.

We deliver to roasters across Europe. If you're based outside Europe, get in touch and we'll look at the options together.

Orders are usually prepared within 24 hours, depending on the number of orders our warehouse is processing at the time. You'll receive tracking or delivery details once your order is on its way.

Freight depends on your location, the size of your order and which warehouse your coffee ships from. Send us your delivery address and the coffees you're interested in, and we'll prepare a quote.

Most of our specialty coffee is delivered in its original jute bags, lined with GrainPro to protect freshness, or in boxes of vacuum-packed coffee. Orders from our warehouses  are shipped on pallets that are strapped and wrapped for protection in transit.

Yes. Our specialty offers are tiered at 1 bag, 3 bags and 10 bags, and the more bags you order, the lower the price per kilo. Tiers apply to your whole order, so you can mix different coffees on one pallet and still get the volume price. For larger or recurring volumes, talk to us about a custom contract.

We have samples available for most of the coffees in our offer lists. However, in some cases we may need to request a sample directly from the producer, so we don't always have every coffee available for sampling immediately. We always try to keep samples of our current coffees available. If a sample isn't available right away, send the request anyway so we know you're interested, and we'll send one as soon as we can.

We are happy to send green or roasted samples as per your requirement. We usually send 50 grams green samples or 20-30 grams roasted samples. You are welcome to send us a request for a different quantity as well.

Usually up to 10 samples per request.

Yes. Samples are free, with a standard limit of three bags per order.
