Quebradillas Farm has a 30-year history of cultivating coffee. Initially, Caturra was the main crop, but due to the rust crisis in the 2000s, they switched to more disease-resistant varieties like Castillo and Colombia. However, since Andrés took over as manager in 2013, the farm started planting exotic varieties with exceptional flavor potential. Currently, the farm boasts trees of Ombligón, Caturra, Bourbon Rosado, Gesha, and Papayo. Consequently, all the coffee produced by the farm is now sold as specialty coffee.
Andrés Benavides is a coffee farmer with more than 20 years of experience as a coffee producer. Since his adolescence, he decided to leave school to dedicate himself to the work of the farm. Later, Andres took courses in cupping and coffee processes, which he implemented in his crops. Today, he and his wife have two farms where they work hand in hand with their two young children, who are already beginning to work in the fields.
