LA CABANA

THE FARMS

The Finca la Cabana is located in the upper part of the district of Brussels in a location that is difficult to access due to its geographical conditions of very steep mountains. These same conditions favor the production of very high-quality coffees since they receive the sun of the entire Laboyos valley and collect all the cold climate of the upper part.

THE PRODUCER

Jaqueline has always been linked to coffee. Since childhood, she has dedicated herself to harvesting work in her parents’ coffee farm. It was only in 2015 that she participated in a Cup of Excellence competition at the Colombian level, where she placed within the 30 finalist lots. The above sparked a curiosity in her to learn more about specialty coffees, so she began working with her sons to develop differentiated coffees from the region. Today, her family has extensive knowledge of anaerobic processes and produces washed coffees and very high-level naturals.

THE COFFEE

This particular lot is composed of the Caturra variety, grown at 1700 meters above sea level. It is a sweet and spicy coffee with floral and citrus notes and a very creamy body that represents the flavors of its region very well.
